The CSST Summer Program is a UCLA PhD recruitment and research training program. Applicants who possess all of the following qualities are welcome to apply:
lStrong interest in UCLA PhD career
lOutstanding academic achievement
lResearch experience from any background
lHigh English proficiency (TOEFL 79; IELTS 6.5)
lInterest in interdisciplinary studies
lSelf-motivated
lMature and independent personality

Students submit applications to CSST, 2020 CSST Online Application
Please see attached PDF for application requirements. There will be a non-refundable application fee of $120 per applicant.
Assessment process:
lEarly Dec 2019: First-round Selection
CSST organizes admission committee to review all applications. Invitations will be sent to selected applicants for interview.
lLate December 2019 to mid-January 2020: Interviews/Second-round Selection
CSST sends UCLA faculty members to major cities in China and interview second round applicants in-person.
lFeb 2020: Final Decisions
CSST announces the admitted applicants for the 12th annual cohort of CSST Summer Program.
