For the academic year of 2010/2011, Corvinus University of Budapest has the opportunity to host for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 2 months foreign researchers/professors who have already attained their PhD and, in the last five years didn't spend more than 12 months in an EU Member State. Applicants willing to take part in the university's education, in addition to the research, are favored. (Ideally, this means holding one course in the topic chosen by the applicant.) Either the fall semester (from mid-September to mid-December), or the spring semester (early February to early May) can be selected.

Applicants are asked to submit a study plan outlining their research and teaching interests and how they propose to pursue them at our University. Research Fellows will be expected to present their research in an appropriate research series.

Research fellowships are available for 2010/11 with a grant of EUR1200/week.

*Deadline: 5th of January, 2010*

Please find the application document attached.

Corvinus University of Budapest (by its previous name, Budapest University of Economic Sciences) formed a consortium with five other universities in 2005, with the aim of bringing to life an Erasmus Mundus Program, whose name is /International MA in Economy, State and Society/.

The consortium's goal is twofold. On the one hand, we educate 25-30 MA students yearly in the four-semester-long IMESS Program. Students spend their first year in London (at University College London), and, in the second year, they continue their studies in a Central European university of their choice, which can be Corvinus University of Budapest.

The other aim of the Program is to assist the work of the consortium with the short-term employment of researchers and professors from non-EU countries. Driven by this second goal of ours, let me call your attention to this great possibility, and at the same time let me ask for your help in passing on this letter and the information to your colleagues.
