AISS 2009, the 10th Ajou International Summer School, is now opening its application process for exchange students from Ajou’s partner universities.

 

Ajou University runs an international summer school as an exchange program, welcoming students from the partner universities as an exchange student and waived tuition and program fees. Summer exchange students will be counted as a 0.5 semester exchange student (two summer students are equal to one student staying one semester).

 

For AISS 2008 this past summer, we welcomed 100 exchange students from our partner universities in about 20 countries. AISS is a package summer school program where students can choose courses in International/Asian/Korean studies, Business, etc for credit transfer and participate in cultural programs (field trips, excursions, corporate visits, cultural practices, social activities, etc) all together.

Schedule

July 1 to August 14, 2009 (for 6 weeks)

- Session 1 Classes: July 6 to 24

- Session 2 Classes: July 27 to Aug. 14

 

Fees

Fees for application, tuition, trip to Jeju Island, culture workshop and social activities are waived for exchange students from partner universities. But students are responsible for their room and board and a few optional trips.

 

Courses

Studetns can choose up to 2 courses (4 credits) in each session, and 4 courses (8 credits + 1 credit culture workshop) in six weeks.
